Area Child Protection Committee (ACPC)
The ACPC is comprised of all the main statutory and voluntary agencies involved in child protection. It is constituted by and collectively accountable to the Board.
Objectives
The main tasks of the ACPC are to:
- Develop and review inter-agency child protection policies and procedures.
- Review the operation of child protection registers.
- Review significant issues and conduct case management reviews.
- Monitor and promote multi-disciplinary working.
- Identify training needs and ensure multi-disciplinary, inter-agency training.
- Oversee management of perpetrators of child abuse.
