Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and programmes which deliver on key tobacco targets in the Southern Health and Social Services Board area in line with:

  • The Tobacco Action Plan for Northern Ireland.
  • DHSSPS Smoking Cessation Services Monitoring Guidance 2000/2001.
  • Regulations on smoking in public places.

Responsible for the specialist area of Tobacco Control across the SHSSB area in delivering on priorities in relation to:

  • Tobacco Control Policies across all sectors and settings.
  • Smoking Cessation Services throughout the Southern Area.
  • Smoking Cessation Training.
